During Google's antitrust trial on April 22, Nick Turley, the head of the ChatGPT product, made a noteworthy statement. Turley indicated that OpenAI would be interested in acquiring the Chrome browser should antitrust enforcement measures successfully compel Google to part with it. Prior to this, the presiding judge in the case had determined that Google held a monopoly over online search and related advertising businesses. At present, Google has not divested Chrome and intends to appeal the monopoly ruling.
