In the LM Arena Search evaluation, Perplexity's Sonar-Reasoning-Pro-High model tied for first place with Google's Gemini-2.5-Pro-Grounding model, achieving a commendable 53% win rate in direct comparisons. The Sonar series of models stands out, occupying the top four positions on the leaderboard, due to their exceptional deep search capabilities and meticulous citation logic. Currently, this model is exclusively available to Pro users, enabling businesses and developers to enhance their efficiency through flexible pricing API services. To further promote its services, Perplexity will host an API overview session on April 24th.
