Nine departments, led by the Ministry of Education, have jointly issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Digitization of Education." The opinions underscore the importance of reinforcing the deployment of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to expedite the development of large AI education models and refine multimodal corpora, thereby constructing a high-quality, self-controllable dataset. Additionally, to uphold proper values and ensure algorithmic security, assessments will be intensified. Furthermore, the document outlines plans to deploy forward-looking research topics, conduct AI application pilots, explore new "AI + education" application scenarios, and foster deeper integration between large models and educational instruction. It also advocates for promoting vertical applications of specialized large models in areas including ideological and political education, science education, aesthetic education, mental health, and foundational disciplines like mathematics and physics, with the aim of nurturing a robust application ecosystem.
