On November 1, OpenAI announced that starting in December, usage quotas for the ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business plans will be shared between ChatGPT and Codex. OpenAI is integrating Work's agent capabilities into ChatGPT's main interface. Usage is measured in tokens, and consumption depends on the model and task complexity—with complex tasks costing more. Instant conversations do not consume the shared quota. OpenAI expects that most users will not need to wait for quota resets more frequently than they do now.
