OpenAI has announced that starting in December, Work's agent capabilities will be integrated into the main ChatGPT experience. Plus, Pro, and Business subscribers will be able to share a unified usage quota between ChatGPT and Codex, with usage for both measured in tokens. How quickly that quota is consumed will depend on the selected model and task complexity, while instant conversations will not count against it. Official transition preparations are already underway to ensure users' workflows are not disrupted, and it is expected that the quota reset frequency for the vast majority of users will be no higher than before. After the transition, users will be able to view their combined remaining quota and the next reset time in one place on the usage page in settings. Once the quota is exhausted, users can choose to wait for an automatic reset, upgrade their subscription, or purchase additional credits to continue using the relevant features.
