OpenAI has reversed its earlier notice to reduce the usage quota for paid ChatGPT subscriptions and has immediately increased usage quotas across all three tiers of ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium. The change applies to existing users right away, without waiting for renewal. OpenAI explained that doubling the quota does not mean users can complete twice as many tasks; high-speed mode consumes quota faster, so for heavy users the increase is more of a psychological reassurance than a practical doubling of capacity.
