Tencent’s WorkBuddy open platform has officially commenced internal testing, rolling out a suite of revenue-generating features. Following a review process and contract agreement, both individual and enterprise developers will have the opportunity to monetize their offerings. They can package task-oriented instructions as "skills" and AI agents with predefined professional roles into paid products. These products will be priced flexibly, ranging from 1 to 9,999 yuan, and can be offered as either one-time purchases or monthly subscriptions.
Developers will gain access to income statements through the platform’s backend system, enabling them to track their earnings. They can conveniently withdraw their funds via WeChat. However, individual developers are required to have their first paid product approved before they can submit additional paid offerings for review. This approach is designed to encourage developers to actively maintain and enhance their products. By doing so, Tencent aims to attract a broader range of developers to the platform, ultimately providing users with a streamlined, centralized hub for accessing and utilizing a diverse array of skills.
