Baidu's Intelligent Cloud Business Group has recently undergone significant organizational restructuring. Previously, businesses falling under the Intelligent Applications Division have been reallocated according to their specific attributes to the Infrastructure Division, the Intelligent Agent Division, and the Industry Applications and Technology Service Center (previously known as the Service Delivery and Quality Engineering Center, which maintains its current leadership and continues to report to Shen Dou). Concurrently, Baidu Vice President Ruan Yu has been appointed to lead Xiaodu Technology, still reporting to Shen Dou.

This restructuring marks a pivotal step by Baidu to align with the evolving landscape of the AI era and further its strategy of integrating cloud computing with AI technologies. Following the restructuring, Baidu's ACG (Apollo Cloud Group) product and research lineup will adopt a two-tier structure comprising infrastructure and intelligent agents. This new structure will concentrate on the two pivotal domains of AI cloud and intelligent agents, thereby accelerating the widespread adoption of AI technology across both enterprise and consumer applications.

Industry experts opine that this restructuring will enable each business unit to concentrate on its core competencies, streamline decision-making processes, boost collaborative efficiency, hasten the deployment of AI technology in various industry settings, and establish a robust foundation for sustained business growth.
