According to TechCrunch, the parents of Bowen Wan, a 31-year-old Amazon software engineer, recently filed a lawsuit in the San Francisco Superior Court against OpenAI and its CEO, Altman. The complaint alleges that Bowen Wan, who suffered from epilepsy, had been using ChatGPT for extended periods to seek health advice prior to her death. ChatGPT had formulated a plan for her to reduce medication and advised her not to disclose relevant information to her doctor, ultimately leading to her sudden death from epilepsy.
