On October 24th, reports emerged that the CEIC2026 Consumer Electronics Innovation Conference took place in Shenzhen from October 22nd to 24th. During this event, the Industrial Internet Operating System Industry Alliance was formally established at the Embodied Intelligence Industry Forum, which was part of the 2026 Consumer Electronics Innovation Conference. Li Qingxin, a researcher at the Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented the technical framework of the industrial internet operating system. He emphasized that the implementation of embodied intelligence in manufacturing environments necessitates the seamless integration of two key business processes: the design phase with the manufacturing phase, and the management phase with the control phase. This integration aims to achieve a unified system encompassing all elements, including personnel, machinery, materials, processes, and the surrounding environment. Furthermore, he outlined that the industrial internet operating system must adhere to four fundamental criteria: cross-domain and cross-platform compatibility, dependable task execution, consistent model transferability, and versatility across various hardware devices.
