A joint poll conducted by ABC News, The Washington Post, and Ipsos revealed that a majority of American adults hold a negative view of the development of artificial intelligence and oppose the large-scale construction of data centers. 57% of respondents believe that AI does more harm than good to society, and 66% oppose the construction of new data centers, with the opposition rate rising to 72% if such facilities are to be built in their own communities.
