Meta has committed to spending approximately $825 billion on leases and contracts in the future, with the majority allocated to the computing power and infrastructure required for artificial intelligence. Meta disclosed in a regulatory filing on Thursday that its total operating and finance lease commitments, which have not yet been recorded on its balance sheet, amount to $355.7 billion. These contracts will take effect from the remainder of this year through 2036, primarily involving leases for data centers and energy infrastructure. Additionally, Meta is obligated to purchase up to $14.7 billion in cloud computing services over the next five years, although this amount may decrease if cloud service providers sell the relevant computing power to other customers.
