As the global push to build out AI infrastructure fuels surging demand for memory chips, Samsung Electronics has proactively secured its sales pipeline for the coming years by finalizing long-term supply agreements. Citing securities analysis reports, South Korean media reveal that Samsung has entered into substantial memory supply contracts with leading global tech firms, locking in roughly 70% of its general-purpose DRAM production capacity through these long-term deals. Moreover, all of its high-bandwidth memory (HBM) slated for production in 2027 has already been fully booked. Given the current tight supply in the memory market, prices are anticipated to climb even higher. This trend could significantly enhance profitability for Samsung’s semiconductor division, though it may also drive up manufacturing costs for consumer electronics manufacturers.
