Oracle has reached a non-binding agreement with AstraZeneca to leverage AI and real-world data to identify suitable patients for clinical trials, accelerate the generation of medical evidence, and integrate the findings into routine clinical practice. The two parties will combine AstraZeneca's scientific research expertise with Oracle's technologies in data, cloud computing, and AI, initially considering applications in oncology, cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases, respiratory and immunology diseases, and rare diseases. They also plan to establish a joint governance and effectiveness evaluation mechanism to assess the possibility of expanding into more disease areas.
