Today, during the 2026 Physical AI and World Model Conference, the Su-Wan Urban Alliance for Pilot National Data Annotation Projects was formally inaugurated in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. This alliance, a collaborative effort among 10 cities within the Yangtze River Delta region, is dedicated to jointly fostering the growth of the data annotation sector and offering robust backing for regional advancements in artificial intelligence. Data annotation, a cornerstone of the AI industry, encompasses the categorization and tagging of various data types, including images, text, and scenarios. This process aids AI systems in comprehending real-world scenarios, thereby expediting the refinement and deployment of large-scale models. The co-establishment of the Data Annotation Joint Innovation Center by these 10 Yangtze River Delta cities, notably including Nanjing in Jiangsu and Wuhu in Anhui, is set to effectively tackle challenges such as fragmented industrial resources, inconsistent standards, and inadequate regional cooperation.
