On October 20, reporters were informed at a press conference held by the National Development and Reform Commission that the Commission, in conjunction with pertinent departments, has initiated the first batch of 136 significant application scenario projects, with the objective of spearheading scenario development and fostering openness. Li Chao, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office at the National Development and Reform Commission, elucidated that the objectives of these projects can be encapsulated by three key terms: verification, openness, and demonstration. Concerning verification, there will be a concerted effort to expedite the maturation and practical application of emerging technologies, innovative products, and novel business models. With regard to openness, diverse business entities will be encouraged to partake in shared development opportunities. For example, in the realm of brain-computer interfaces, data platforms, pilot-scale platforms, and scenario application centers will be established, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, assistance, and consumption, to furnish enterprises with support for product verification and market expansion. In terms of demonstration, these projects are poised to function as exemplars for wider-scale applications.
