As reported by orcaroute, three distinct model identifiers—namely, aurora-blue-alpha, aurora-green-alpha, and aurora-red-alpha—made a fleeting appearance in the OpenAI API model list. These identifiers were generated within a brief 97-second timeframe, with the 'owner' field designated as 'system' and no specified expiration date. This observation was corroborated by CellCog, which conducted an authenticated key query to the model list endpoint. Among the 144 models retrieved, the three aforementioned identifiers were included. However, these models promptly vanished from the list, and developers who attempted to access them encountered an HTTP 503 error, signaling the unavailability of computing resources. To date, OpenAI has refrained from issuing any official statements or explanations concerning this incident.
