On October 19, Volcano Engine, a subsidiary under ByteDance, launched the High-Quality AI Drama Incentive Scheme. This initiative is designed to encourage the creation of AI-animated dramas and AI human-simulation dramas produced using Seedance (with over 50% of the content leveraging version 2.5) and released on the Hongguo Short Drama App. Note that live-action content does not qualify for this program. Approved works will be rewarded with tiered incentives according to their monthly popularity rankings: 200,000 yuan per work for those ranking 1st to 10th, 100,000 yuan per work for those ranking 11th to 20th, and 50,000 yuan per work for those ranking 21st to 50th. The incentives will be a combination of 50% cash and 50% vouchers. All submitted works must undergo and pass compliance verification. Both enterprises and individual creators are welcome to participate. The application deadline for the first phase is set for January 31, 2027.
