OpenAI has upgraded the GPT-6 Astra Pro in ChatGPT, offering faster response times, enhanced tool utilization, and support for multiple agents to handle the same task in parallel. Users can now track the progress of each agent and view results within the same chat interface. This update is being gradually rolled out to eligible ChatGPT Pro users, while Plus users are currently unable to access these features in chat scenarios. Different tiers of Pro subscriptions come with varying weekly usage limits for the models. Previously, Claude took the lead in implementing multi-agent parallel functionality, with tests showing significantly higher efficiency in bug detection compared to a single agent. However, multi-agent collaboration still faces challenges such as redundant task division, conflicting results, difficulties in merging and aligning outputs, time-consuming user tracking and acceptance, and opaque quota consumption. The actual effectiveness of AI teams ultimately depends on their ability to reduce the time users spend on coordination, verification, and rework.
