On October 16, Reuters, drawing on insights from four well-informed sources, revealed that Anthropic's revenue growth had experienced a deceleration. This development has led some of its current and prospective investors to reconsider its valuation in the context of an Initial Public Offering (IPO). At present, the valuation figure being bandied about among these investors hovers around the $1.5 trillion mark, significantly lower than the previously anticipated $2 trillion valuation that had been circulating in the market.
