On October 14, Kevin Sneader, President of Goldman Sachs Group for Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), stated that driven by factors such as investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure, Goldman Sachs has seen robust business growth in Japan, India, and China. Among them, North Asia has notably benefited from AI-related capital expenditures. Sneader pointed out that the overall market performance of 42 AI-enabled companies listed on Indian stock exchanges has grown by approximately 60%, contradicting the view that India is at a disadvantage due to its lack of indigenous large language models. He noted that AI-enabled companies exist in India, and 42% of the agricultural sector has the potential to apply AI technology, presenting significant long-term development opportunities. Additionally, Goldman Sachs established an office in Mumbai last year.
