On the 12th, Goldman Sachs published a research report highlighting that the soaring demand for AI inference has turned storage capacity limitations into a significant bottleneck, hampering computational efficiency. Emerging NAND technologies, notably high-bandwidth flash memory (HBF), are poised to tackle the 'memory wall' challenge, driving down AI infrastructure expenses considerably. Goldman Sachs anticipates that as GPU adoption climbs to between 15% and 50%, the HBF market could burgeon to a value between $40 billion and $150 billion. The investment bank is bullish on SanDisk and SK Hynix, acknowledging their pioneering roles in HBF technology and maintaining a 'buy' recommendation for both stocks. Samsung Electronics is also projected to reap substantial benefits. Conversely, Micron, with its business heavily centered on DRAM and HBM, is expected to experience only marginal direct gains, prompting Goldman Sachs to retain a 'neutral' stance on its stock.
