On October 7, Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, issued a warning, stating that a 'classic bubble' is forming in the field of artificial intelligence and is nearing the brink of bursting as interest rates rise and wealth shifts toward cash. He pointed out that a significant amount of debt is currently being used to fund AI development, and as interest rates continue to climb, the risk of the bubble bursting intensifies. Dalio said, 'We are approaching a critical juncture in the cycle, and I believe we are very close.' He also mentioned that, in addition to interest rate factors, measures such as wealth taxes aimed at converting unrealized gains into cash could also trigger the bubble's collapse. He emphasized, 'People often say, 'I'm worth a billion dollars,' but to convert that wealth into cash, they must sell assets, which often serves as the trigger for a bubble burst.'
