At a routine press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun addressed a query from international media regarding whether the China-U.S. AI dialogue mechanism predominantly reflects the U.S. perspective. He emphasized that China has consistently engaged in global AI governance with a constructive and responsible stance, continually offering Chinese insights and solutions. China champions the utilization of the United Nations as the primary platform to establish a just and equitable global AI governance framework. Guo Jiakun remarked, "We are also open to sustaining dialogue with the U.S. via avenues such as the intergovernmental AI dialogue. This is not only crucial for fostering the development of global AI that is beneficial and inclusive but also constitutes a significant element in forging a constructive and strategically stable relationship between China and the U.S."
