Alibaba DAMO Academy, working in tandem with esteemed institutions like Sichuan Cancer Hospital and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, has co-developed an innovative AI model specifically designed for esophageal cancer screening, named DAMO EAGLE. Leveraging the power of plain CT scans, this model can accurately pinpoint esophageal cancer, encompassing both early-stage malignancies and precancerous lesions, without necessitating intubation or the use of contrast agents. This remarkable feat has been substantiated through rigorous testing across over 80,000 cases in three different countries.
