Amid ongoing debates in Silicon Valley over the future of artificial intelligence, JPMorgan Chase Chief Executive Jamie Dimon proposed on Wednesday (Eastern Time) that the United States should implement 'light' federal-level regulation of the AI industry to avoid local oversight. He believes that differences in state regulations would increase the complexity of commercializing AI. He stated, 'If regulation is necessary, it should be uniformly implemented at the federal level and adopt a light-touch approach. Both the federal government and states have their own considerations... I do believe that if different state laws apply to various matters, it will be difficult to conduct business.'
