He pointed out that while AI poses risks such as cybersecurity threats, concerns about 'human extinction' lack scientific basis and resemble early tech industry propaganda aimed at influencing regulation. He called on the industry to focus on solving practical engineering problems and promoting the positive application of AI in fields like healthcare and education.
