Anthropic announced that it will merge Claude Chat and Cowork into a unified version of Claude, and introduce two new Beta-stage features: Claude Docs and Claude Slides, while integrating Claude Design into the chat interface. The new version of Claude eliminates differences between various functional entry points, allowing users to invoke multiple capabilities such as chat, Cowork, and Design within the same conversation window based on task requirements. Additionally, the new version of Claude has upgraded its memory layer, enabling users to choose different working modes without affecting existing content. Docs and Slides support functions such as generation, modification, and collaborative sharing. Slides can be exported in PowerPoint or PDF formats, while Docs offers a collaboration experience similar to Google Docs, with the added ability for users to set periodic automatic task execution. These upgraded features will first be rolled out to users on the Pro and Max plans, followed by gradual coverage for Team and Free plan users. Enterprise version administrators can decide for themselves when to enable the Beta versions of Docs and Slides.
