According to its co-founder, South Korean AI startup Upstage is considering pre-IPO funding as one of its alternatives for capital market engagement. Headquartered in Seoul, the company completed a Series C funding round this year, raising KRW 560 billion (approximately USD 420 million), bringing its total cumulative funding to KRW 730 billion. Despite receiving strategic collaboration and investment from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), its funding needs continue to grow due to substantial hardware investments in the AI sector.
