Hou Zengqian, an Academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Lead Scientist for the Tianwen-3 mission, disclosed that active development is currently in progress for a cutting-edge, global geological map of Mars. The map's guiding principle is "data-driven, intelligent mapping." This initiative will leverage the full spectrum of data collected during the Tianwen-1 mission, amalgamate diverse international data sources, and incorporate multimodal information. It aims to shed new light on the geological evolution of Mars and employ artificial intelligence for intelligent geological analysis. This will mark the world's inaugural intelligent geological map of Mars, with the 1:5 million scale Version 1.0 projected for completion by the end of 2028.
