On September 3, Axios reported that, according to an OpenAI spokesperson, Greg Brockman, the President of OpenAI, is set to make an announcement at the cybersecurity summit scheduled to take place at OpenAI's headquarters on Thursday. The announcement will detail the company's plans to broaden access to its AI tools for critical infrastructure and public sector organizations. This summit is anticipated to draw around 300 security executives and Chief Information Security Officers from Fortune 100 companies. The focus of the discussions will be on how to effectively equip defenders, particularly those in critical infrastructure organizations and public service sectors, with AI tools. Currently, amid concerns over model security—heightened by a prior breach at Hugging Face—OpenAI has raised the cybersecurity capabilities of its upcoming Astra model to a 'critical' level.
