On August 31st, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a notice outlining its plan to initiate a dedicated program aimed at nurturing providers of artificial intelligence (AI) application services. This program will unlock a range of real-world scenarios, engage service providers for hands-on implementation, drive technological R&D and the commercialization of research outcomes, and establish exemplary solutions. Concurrently, it will investigate mechanisms such as initial purchase incentives and risk compensation to spur the procurement of services encompassing large models and agents, thereby elevating the caliber and efficiency of industrial applications. Furthermore, regions equipped with the requisite infrastructure will develop and refine a 'going global' service framework, utilizing international collaboration platforms to facilitate the international expansion of premium AI projects.
