According to sources with inside knowledge of the situation, Anthropic is poised to unveil its IPO prospectus following the U.S. Labor Day holiday (which falls on September 7 this year), with an anticipated listing on the U.S. stock market scheduled from late September to early October. The company has plans to permit existing shareholders to offload shares during the IPO process. To mitigate the selling pressure post-IPO, certain shareholders will be subject to a lock-up period extending beyond 180 days. As of now, the precise ratio between newly issued shares and those sold by current shareholders has not been determined. Nevertheless, Anthropic aims to secure a minimum of $130 billion through the IPO, with the funds earmarked for expanding its computational capabilities. This ambitious fundraising goal surpasses that of SpaceX, which went public in June and managed to raise $86 billion at the time.
