On August 26, according to foreign media reports, sources revealed that Dark Side of the Moon is in discussions with Microsoft, Amazon, and Google regarding revenue-sharing agreements, aiming to have these US cloud computing giants host its Kimi K3 model. If the agreement is reached, it could become the first significant revenue-sharing deal between a Chinese AI company and major US cloud computing firms. It is reported that Dark Side of the Moon hopes to secure up to a 30% share of the revenue generated from K3-related services on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud, aligning with the terms the startup has proposed to major clients using its open-weight models. Additionally, Dark Side of the Moon has already signed similar agreements with some smaller cloud platforms, and Alibaba is also seeking such deals with key users of its new open-source AI model.
