The main session of the 2026 Scientific Intelligence Conference, part of the Zhongguancun Forum series, took place at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center in Beijing. This conference was jointly organized by the China Science and Technology Development Foundation and the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence in Science, with backing from numerous academic institutions. The event drew a large gathering of leaders, academicians, regulatory officials, corporate leaders, and researchers. During the conference, Beijing unveiled its inaugural batch of exemplary AI-driven scientific research cases and introduced the Zhongguancun Haidian Scientific Intelligence Innovation Cluster. Furthermore, accomplishments like the DeepModeling open-source community and the DeepFlame project were highlighted. The conference demonstrated China's all-encompassing strategy and collaborative innovation in the realm of scientific intelligence, extending from fundamental research to industrial application. Experts at the conference emphasized that artificial intelligence is ushering in significant transformations in scientific research paradigms, with interdisciplinary cooperation and open sharing poised to emerge as the central themes for future progress.
