In response to competition from Anthropic and Chinese AI models, OpenAI has announced that it will reduce developer pricing for its cutting-edge model GPT-5.6 Sol by over 20% within the next three months. The price reduction applies to API and credit plans, while subscription prices for Pro, Plus, and Business tiers remain unchanged. Previously, OpenAI had already reduced prices for GPT-5.6 Luna and Terra, with reductions of up to 80%.
