On August 21st, reports emerged that the plenary session of the 21st Study Group of the Telecommunication Standardization Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T SG21) is scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 6th to 17th, 2026. Recently, two pivotal international standards, spearheaded by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and supported by the Artificial Intelligence Software and Hardware Collaborative Innovation and Adaptation Verification Center (a Key Laboratory under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the Evaluation of Large Artificial Intelligence Models and Software/Hardware), have been successfully finalized and are poised for official release. These two standards are the Large Model Edge-Side Inference System Standard and the Operator Requirements Standard.
