On July 30, 2026, Inspur Data made a significant announcement, detailing a sweeping upgrade to its corporate strategy. The company is shifting its focus from a conventional provider of cloud computing and distributed storage services to a leading AI infrastructure service provider, and it also revealed its independently developed AI data operating system. Designed as system software to manage the triad of computing power, algorithms, and data resources, this system employs a dual-architecture design comprising a 'data foundation' and a 'computing power engine'.
'Xuantong' represents an AI-centric high-performance all-flash converged storage architecture. It boasts technical strengths such as an innovative numerical control separation architecture, a lock-free coroutine scheduling framework, and an all-flash native layout algorithm. On the other hand, 'Wanxiang' is an efficient and controllable agent operating environment. It is equipped with an always-on, all-domain dynamic evolution architecture, a multi-core, multi-model efficient inference engine, and an agent DesignRun full-process operating environment.
The system is strategically designed to overcome various barriers hindering the widespread adoption of AI in enterprises. These challenges include the need to modernize existing cloud and data infrastructures, the issue of data silos and insufficient value extraction, fragmented industrial ecosystems, and the complexities involved in application deployment. Additionally, Inspur Data has initiated the 'Data Inspire AI' industrial ecosystem program. This initiative seeks to deploy privatized AI solutions tailored for scenarios in finance, healthcare, transportation, and other sectors through mechanisms like resource sharing and experience exchange.
