The German cabinet submitted a draft bill on the 29th, proposing to allow immigration officials to use AI assistance in reviewing asylum, visa, and residency permit applications to improve efficiency. The bill was approved by the cabinet due to the consistently high volume of immigration applications and insufficient government staff.
