On July 29 (local time in the United States), Microsoft unveiled its financial results for the fourth quarter and the entire fiscal year 2026. Propelled by robust demand for cloud services and the swift commercialization of AI technologies, Microsoft’s quarterly revenue soared to $90 billion, marking an 18% increase year-on-year. Net profit surged to $35.8 billion, a remarkable 31% jump compared to the previous year, with both key financial metrics outperforming market expectations. For the full fiscal year, total revenue climbed to $331.839 billion, reflecting a 17.79% rise year-on-year. Notably, the annual revenue of the Azure cloud business exceeded $100 billion for the first time, while Microsoft 365 Copilot amassed over 30 million paid subscribers. Additionally, Microsoft adjusted its capital expenditure forecast for 2026 downward, from $190 billion to $175 billion.
