On July 27, Moonshot AI took a significant stride by uploading the complete model weights of Kimi K3 onto the renowned Hugging Face platform. Concurrently, they unveiled a technical report and introduced a customized license, aptly named the Kimi K3 License, on GitHub. This groundbreaking model stands as the world's pioneer in open weight models, boasting an impressive 2.8 trillion parameters in total, with 104 billion active parameters, and is capable of supporting a context of up to 1 million tokens. Notably, K3 had already made its initial appearance as a hosted service just 11 days earlier, on July 16, marking the beginning of its journey.
