On July 27, NVIDIA disclosed the formation of a strategic, long-term alliance with Safe Superintelligence (SSI), an AI venture helmed by Ilya Sutskever, the former Chief Scientist of OpenAI. Concurrently, NVIDIA revealed its investment in SSI. According to the announcement, NVIDIA’s financial backing, coupled with SSI’s utilization of the next-generation Vera Rubin platform, is set to amplify SSI’s computational prowess by a significant margin—potentially an order of magnitude.
