On July 25, it was reported that NVIDIA announced on Friday a collaboration with South Korea's SK Group to jointly advance an AI initiative worth over $500 billion. The initiative involves the construction of large-scale AI data centers and the development of next-generation memory technology. NVIDIA will establish a long-term partnership with SK Hynix to secure the supply of next-generation memory and jointly develop high-bandwidth memory (HBM) suitable for AI training, AI agents, and physical AI applications. Additionally, SK Telecom plans to build an AI data center with an installed capacity of 2 gigawatts, which will utilize NVIDIA's Vera Rubin chips and SK Hynix's HBM4 memory, with the first facility expected to become operational in 2027.
