Hu Han joined Tencent in early 2025, initially overseeing research on visual large models before transitioning to the 'Frontier' advanced technology research group within the Large Language Model Department, where he led multimodal understanding research, reporting to Yao Shunyu. Additionally, Hu Han was also in charge of world model development. It is reported that Yao Shunyu, the head of Tencent's Large Language Model Department, has recently been conducting an intensive review of his teams, and the research group Hu Han previously led may now focus on cutting-edge research in world models.
