In the first half of 2026, China witnessed a 16.9% year-on-year surge in its total goods import and export volume. Hu Jie, a professor of practice at the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, remarked that the soaring demand for AI has solidified China's status as an indispensable pillar in the global industrial chain. From robots making inroads into international markets to the accelerated overseas expansion of high-end manufacturing, China's exports have not only achieved a remarkable leap in total volume but have also undergone continuous structural refinement and enhancement. In the latter half of the year, the demand for AI is projected to persist, offering a robust boost to China's economy.
