Zhang Jun, Tencent’s Director of Public Relations, announced that the initial two-week free trial period for the Hunyuan Large Model Hy3 has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from a vast user base, prompting widespread calls for its extension. In direct response to this user demand, Tencent has officially decided to prolong the free trial offer for both WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy users until August 5th. Hy3, which was made open-source on July 6th, employs a sophisticated Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture. This model boasts an impressive total of 295 billion parameters, with 21 billion actively engaged during operation, and supports a maximum context length of 256K. Building on the strengths of its preview version, Hy3 has undergone substantial enhancements across a variety of tasks. These improvements are attributed to the meticulous optimization of training data and an expansion in the scale of reinforcement learning (RL) computational resources. As a result, Hy3 now delivers performance that is on par with both domestic and international flagship models, despite having parameter sizes that are 2 to 5 times smaller.
