On July 18, at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), NetEase Youdao publicly showcased its AI earbuds, Youdao OpenPods, for the first time. These earbuds support real-time simultaneous interpretation in over a dozen languages and feature recording transcription, automatic generation of structured summaries, and mind mapping capabilities. They have officially entered mass production, are expected to be officially released in August, with plans for international expansion in the future.
