Zhipu executives have previously emphasized that the commercial potential of large models can be understood as the 'product of the upper limit of intelligence and the scale of token consumption.' They believe that as long as the model maintains its leading capabilities, its usage will continue to expand. Financial data reveals that in the first quarter of this year, the cumulative price hike for GLM’s API stood at approximately 83%, with overseas subscription prices even nearing those of Claude Code. Despite this, its usage volume surged by around 400%.
