Recently, Li Bojie, recognized as one of Huawei's 'genius teens,' shared his interview encounter with DeepSeek on social media, drawing considerable public interest. Li recounted that after acing the written exam, he was left in limbo without an interview scheduled for half a month. It was only after he sent several reminders that an interview was finally set up. The initial two interview rounds focused on coding. During the second interview, the interviewer arrived late and then wrongly accused Li of plagiarizing code. Li perceived this as a grave insult and promptly decided to end the interview process.
Following this incident, Du Jun, the co - founder of Huobi, took to social media to strongly criticize Li Bojie. He referred to Li as 'the founder I’ve worked with who has the least sense of contractual obligation.' Du alleged that after Li received funding, he repeatedly failed to meet the basic requirements stipulated in the investment agreement. These included keeping investors updated on the business's progress and financial situation. Du claimed that Li's negligence in this regard ultimately led to the downfall of the project.
Li Bojie, however, offered a clarification. He stated that his decision to seek employment was not a result of entrepreneurial failure. Instead, he wanted to push the boundaries of intelligence and explore new frontiers. As of now, DeepSeek has yet to release an official statement regarding this controversy.
