Xiaomi Group has initiated a fresh round of organizational restructuring within its 'Xiao AI' division. Following this adjustment, the technical framework of Xiao AI is now segmented into three primary modules: The MiMo Base Large Model Team, under the leadership of Luo Fuli, is tasked with delivering fundamental model functionalities; Luan Jian oversees the construction of cloud capabilities; and end-side capabilities are entrusted to the OS teams of sub-business units, including mobile phones and automobiles. Meanwhile, Wang Gang, the former head of the Xiao AI team, has been reassigned to spearhead the robotics business. In 2024, Xiao AI underwent an upgrade to 'Super Xiao AI', cementing its position as a pivotal element in Xiaomi's 'human-vehicle-home full ecosystem' for cross-end intelligent connectivity. Lu Weibing clarified that the AI interaction testing product, Xiaomi Miclaw, developed on the MiMo large model, is not intended to supplant Xiao AI. Instead, it will merge with Super Xiao AI in the future to enhance its capabilities.
